SHCC is tasked with ensuring that all Multifamily project-based Section 8 residents receive the benefit of safe, decent, affordable housing. In the UPCS Department, this is accomplished through diligent follow-up in two areas: (1) On REAC inspections, in accordance with HUD’s directives; and (2) on tenant concerns received through the SHCC Call Center.
Effective October 15, 2002, the Office of Housing ceased mailing REAC Physical Inspection Reports to owners. Owners and their representatives must retrieve their released inspection reports directly from HUD's Secure Systems.
UPCS staff are responsible for responding to tenant concerns and complaints.
